Flatback turtle populations are considered significant in these locations due to the size of their rookeries, with approximately 2000 turtles nesting on Barrow Island and at Mundaballangana per year.
Join our turtle tagging adventure as we collect scientific data about nesting flatback turtle populations in their remote natural habitats.

Duration: 15 – 19 days
Dates: November 2025 – January 2026
What is covered: Return flights from Perth, accommodation, meals, and $200 towards hiking boots
