TYE POPE
MANAGING DIRECTOR

Tye brings over 18 years of environmental consulting experience across Australia and internationally, with a proven track record delivering high-impact projects for leading energy and resources companies.
His expertise spans the full project lifecycle – from scoping and baseline studies to approvals, construction, operations, and decommissioning – all within complex regulatory frameworks.
Tye is highly skilled in developing and managing environmental documentation including EPs, EMPs, OPEPs, and OSMPs. He has led numerous environmental surveys and monitoring programs, ensuring projects are executed responsibly and in full compliance.
Combining deep knowledge of marine and coastal science with a practical understanding of environmental legislation, Tye is committed to delivering sustainable, fit-for-purpose solutions that meet the highest standards of environmental stewardship.

MIKE DALY
MANAGING DIRECTOR

Mike is a co-founder of ECS and an experienced environmental specialist and engineer with 18 years of experience across approvals, oil spill preparedness, environmental assurance, and project delivery.
He has worked across all facets of major marine capital works – as client, EPCM, consultant, and contractor – giving him a complete understanding of multidisciplinary project execution.
With a strong technical foundation in environmental engineering and approvals processes, Mike has led initiatives in monitoring, environmental compliance programs, EMS implementation, and impact/risk management across project lifecycles. He is known for his logical, collaborative approach and ability to build trusted relationships with clients, contractors, and regulators alike.
Mike holds a First-Class Honours degree in Environmental Science (Marine Science) and a Master’s in Coastal Engineering and Management. His leadership is defined by integrity, precision, and a commitment to delivering outcomes that balance commercial success with environmental responsibility.

JORMA NOLAN
SENIOR MANAGER / PRINCIPAL

Jorma is a highly experienced environmental professional with over 15 years across offshore, marine, subsea, logistics, and heavy industry sectors.
He specialises in environmental monitoring, contractor management, and regulatory compliance, and has successfully delivered large-scale marine capital works and environmental programs in complex operational environments.
His expertise includes biosecurity management, vessel mobilisation, approvals coordination, and HSE systems implementation. Jorma is known for his ability to foster collaboration across internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with regulatory, social, and corporate expectations.
With a practical mindset and strong leadership skills, Jorma is a trusted advisor for projects requiring technical depth, operational agility, and environmental accountability.

JOE SANDERSON
SENIOR MANAGER / SENIOR PRINCIPAL

Joe is a respected environmental and HSE leader with over 25 years of strategic and operational experience across Australia’s energy, infrastructure, and resources sectors.
He has led complex environmental programs from planning through to operations, with expertise in approvals, compliance, impact assessments, and stakeholder engagement.
Joe has held senior roles at Alinta Energy, Santos, and Chevron Australia, where he oversaw environmental and planning functions for major developments including the Gorgon and Wheatstone Projects, Barossa Project and Spinifex Offshore Wind Farm. Through these projects, Joe holds significant experience in regulatory negotiation and risk management leading to a clear understanding of best practices across both oil & gas and renewable energy sectors.
Known for his strategic thinking, calmness under pressure, and commitment to sustainable development, Joe continues to support projects that align with evolving environmental and community expectations — driving outcomes that balance regulatory efficiency and practical outcomes with ecological integrity.
